Featured This Month, April 2020: Garden Of Dreams

Each month we handpick one talented Instagrammer and their impeccably beautiful home to be featured in our journal and on our Instagram page. We are truly inspired daily by all the talent that we see and just have to share it with you.

This month’s “Featured this month” entrant is the sensational home of Becks Doyle @thehousebuild.

In 2017 Becks and her family bought the keys to their charming new home. With a stunning vision in mind for a grand extension, Becks could begin the build and design of each and every detail of her dream home. After months of planning, intricate designing and patience, her dream home was finally complete and we cannot wait to take you on a tour of this stunning home.

Nothing says elegance quite like the home and garden of @thehousebuild. The soft colour palette which runs throughout Becks’ grand home, oozes style and luxury. By incorporating timeless details, the elegant finishes create a balance of harmonious tones and a feeling of serenity. The perfect setting for a home with an eclectic mix of femininity and grace.

“It’s amazing having spent years designing and choosing every single tiny little detail of this house, as well as project managing the build every day”

Check out her fabulous boot room. After receiving a very pricey quote from joiners to build a unit for her hallway, Becks decided to design this unit herself!
It is the perfect solution for keeping the hallway tidy, plus it even includes benches to sit on, whilst putting on your shoes!
For the ultimate organisation she has completed the top and bottom of the unit with our Grey Wash Rectangular Deep Wicker Baskets to hide the essentials. Such a clever idea!

“The most useful part of the house, without a doubt, is the back-hall storage area for coats, shoes, hats. I designed this unit myself and measured it all out for my carpenter to build from MDF. I got several quotes from joiners to make this and they came in at over £4000. It cost less than £1000 to DIY it”

Becks’ home is a treasure trove of beautifully aesthetically designs, extending through to her dreamy garden and with this fabulous weather we’ve had lately she is itching to get out into her garden again.

Here’s a time-lapse of the garden once the flowers were in full bloom.

With impeccable talent and innovative creativity, Becks chose to keep the theme of a soft colour palette extending through to a stunning landscape garden, completed by filling up our Grey & Buff Round Wicker Planters with some flourishing white hydrangeas and bay trees, for a little extra rustic charm! She cleverly incorporated elegance and charm to the vibrancy of the foliage by adding pure white, cascading petunias, which made such a statement around her swimming pool.

Don’t they look gorgeous? The perfect surroundings for dinner al fresco!

“I adore flowers, they make me incredibly happy, and designing some new flower beds for the garden has been so interesting”

And finally, not only does her lifestyle inspire you to fix up your home and garden but her Instagram page is also the place to go, should you need a daily dose of optimism. Becks integrates wellness into her busy lifestyle and shifts any negative focused thoughts into a more positive outlook to brighten her day (and ours) just a little bit more.

“Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how to live your life. Be grateful for the small things” – Becks Doyle.
