Hi, we’re Catherine and Ian, founders of The Basket Company, joined by our faithful four-legged friend, Alfie. Together, we believe in the joy of a beautifully organised home.

We’ve come a long way since we first started out over 10 years ago, but our values haven’t changed. We still believe in doing things properly, taking care over the little details and treating every customer the way we’d like to be treated ourselves.

We’ve built a brilliant team around us who share that same care and dedication. Every basket we send is picked, packed and checked by hand and if something doesn’t feel quite right, we’ll always pick up the phone. That kind of good old-fashioned service is important to us.

We know choosing the right basket can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. That’s why we’re always happy to help you find the perfect size, shape or style. We’re only ever a call or an email away if you need a little assistance. If you’re ordering for different rooms, we’ll even match everything for you so it all works beautifully together. 

The Basket Company is more than just a business to us. It’s something we’ve poured our hearts into, and we’re incredibly proud of what it’s become. Thank you for being part of our journey, we’re so pleased you found us.

Here we are, The Basket Company family! We’re more than just a team; we’re a group of friends who love what we do and who never miss a reason to celebrate! Across customer service, marketing and our busy warehouse, every department works together to make sure your experience with us is the very best it can be. Of course Alfie, our loyal office dog, keeps spirits high and occasionally supervises from his favourite basket, especially when biscuits are involved!

In true The Basket Company style, we never miss a celebration. From birthdays (always with far too much cake) to tea breaks that turn into fiercely competitive Popmaster battles between the warehouse and the office. We’ve danced at each other’s weddings, cooed over new babies and shared so many special moments together along the way. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and grateful to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far.

When they’re not at The Basket Company, Catherine and Ian love being outdoors. Catherine, with Alfie by her side, has walked the full South West Coast Path and the Isle of Wight coast path. At home, she’s just as happy in her garden, creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Ian’s just as adventurous. He’s spent a month cycling Iceland’s Route One, takes regular motorcycle trips across Europe and is a talented painter with a great eye for detail. Together they’ve travelled far and wide, even spending time living in Australia, adventures that bring fresh energy and inspiration to everything they do at The Basket Company.
