Each month we handpick one talented Instagrammer and their impeccably beautiful home to be featured in our journal. We are truly inspired daily by all the talent that we see and we just have to share it with you. This month’s “Featured this month” entrant is the stylish home of Samantha @mrs_roobottom_home.
This October we have some beautiful home inspiration for you, featuring pumpkins, beautiful autumnal garlands and of course, plenty of baskets.
All the cosy feels in this home have been created by the very talented Samantha @mrs_roobottom_home 🍂 (or should we say Mrs “Boo” Bottom home as it’s October!) and we cannot wait to take you on a tour of this beautiful relaxed and textured home, with the perfect autumnal accessories.
Autumnal Lounge Decor
It’s easy to dress up a home when the palette you’re working with is a beautiful array of timeless neutrals and adding in accessories for the season can completely transform a space. Check out this example of Samantha’s beautiful lounge, she has added a stunning autumnal garland above that cosy log fire roaring with flames, complete with pumpkins dotted around the living room for a decorative touch. Sitting proudly next to this beautiful fireplace is our Grey & Buff Rattan Square Wicker Log Basket, which is perfect for the upcoming season of cosy nights in by the crackle of a fire, watching Halloween favourites such as “Hocus Pocus”. And when movie time is over, a simple slideshow of beautiful autumnal landscapes will transform your television into a work of art.
Great job Samantha, your lounge is always so beautiful and homely!
Linen Cupboard Organisation
October is the perfect time to have a sort out and whilst the weather outside is dreary and cold Samantha has been doing lots of organising this season!
Samantha has re-designed an airy and elegant linen space that radiates tranquillity and the ultimate “tada” moment in a tidy space. This new area is complete with Egyptian cotton carpet, our Antique Wash Wicker Storage Trunk and Antique Wash Wicker Lined Storage Baskets for supreme home organisation for all of her cosy home essentials. The Antique Wash texture on our storage baskets complements this heavenly and dreamy linen room design that gives a clean and refreshing feel making it all so perfect for storing crisp linen, fluffy towels and soft cushions. Doesn’t it look so organised?
Stylish and simply utility room decor
Samantha is ever the perfectionist when it comes to refining rooms in even the dullest of spaces. This fabulous utility room is the perfect place for chores. Decorated in a neutral palette to match the rest of her home, complete with natural foliage to liven up the space, Samantha really has created the dreamiest space to do the most arduous of tasks, including the laundry! To give Samantha a helping hand, she has chosen our Antique Wash Wicker Washing Basket to help her transport her laundry from room to room, collecting multiple items as she goes. Not to mention this basket is such a stylish solution to keep piles of laundry in for when they’re ready to be washed.
Of course, the best day to do chores are on rainy days. Autumnal rainy days are a reminder to slow down and hibernate in your cosy haven. Light some candles to naturally scent the home and listen to the calming pitter patter of rainfall, whilst doing therapeutic chores around the home.
Once the home is spick and span, snuggle on the sofa with a fresh cup of coffee and a good book. Remember, rainy days are for self-care.
And if you think Samantha’s home is beautiful right now, wait until you see it at Christmas! You won’t be disappointed!
