1. How do I make my city garden look like a cottage garden?

Wicker Planter Collection

First, plan out how you would like your garden to look. Chloe has designed a garden where modernity meets quaint charm. Beginning with an elegant white washed decking area with rattan furniture for outdoor meals, drinks and catch ups with friends and a perfectly manicured lawn. For a little visual interest, she has lined a section with decorative stones, complete with a charming hanging swing to invite relaxation on a beautiful, sunny day. To provide structure and contribute to the overall design theme Chloe has completed the overall design with trees, shrubs and of course flowers and quaint accessories. Assorted around the garden you will discover a variety of potted flowers in Grey & Buff Rattan Wicker Planters. Each step reveals a new treasure—a cluster of lavender swaying gracefully, releasing its soothing scent and delicate roses in hues of blush and crimson.

2. What flowers do I plant for a cottage garden?

Wicker Planter Collection

In every corner, Chloe’s touch is evident—a labour of love that has transformed this patch of earth into a sanctuary for both humans and wildlife alike. Butterflies flit from flower to flower, bees hum contentedly as they gather nectar, and birdsong fills the air, a joyful chorus celebrating the beauty of nature.

Chloe’s garden is a never-ending selection of colour and no two pots include the same selection of flowers.

For a cottage garden you will need a collection of romantic, whimsy un-uniformed blooms such as David Austin roses, delicate lavender, foxgloves, sweet peas and hollyhocks. We would also recommend choosing flowers to entice the pollinators. Amongst Chloe’s collection you will discover a selection of beautiful Nemesia in a variety of colours, lavender, white hydrangeas and pink daisies.

3. What are the colours for a cottage garden?

Cottage garden colours are generally soft, delicate and inspired by nature. Of course, your garden is your own canvas and you should choose the flowers and colours that are personal to you. Chloe’s garden is a kaleidoscope of colour and creativity. With a beautiful selection of vibrant blooms such as delicate pink cosmos, purple bellflowers, white and pink Nemesia, fiery red geraniums, baby pink geraniums and vibrant yellow surfinia to name a few!

4. What accessories do I need for a cottage garden?

Traditionally, antique pieces such as an aged bench, the hand-me-down watering can and metal sculptures are a timeless staple in cottage gardens. Chloe has chosen modern accessories with a vintage feel for that desired cottage garden style. She has chosen a beautiful planter in the shape of a bicycle for charm, shelving for potted flowers against the fence for smaller dainty flowers and vintage lanterns, casting a warm glow as dusk descends, turning the garden into a magical oasis.
