Each month we handpick one talented Instagrammer and their impeccably beautiful home to be featured on our Instagram page. We are truly inspired daily, by all the talent that we see and just have to share with you. This month we bring you, the immaculate home styling of @melodyandbabes.
In this blog we will be taking you on a tour of her hallway, lounge and nursery, styled in stunning neutrals for timeless elegance. Melody thrives in making life as easy for herself as possible with four lovely children running around, whilst tackling the ever-growing task to keep the home tidy in minutes. Let us take you on a tour and show you how she does it.
1. Hallway organisation for shoe mountains
The pièce de résistance to your home is the hallway. The hallway is the last room you see when you leave and the first room you see when you arrive home, so having a tidy and organised space where you don’t have to pass the attraction of “Mount Shoe” every day is important, (not just for hazards) but also for wellbeing. Our favourite thing about Melody’s styling is how she styles hallway clutter and so cleverly too.
In Melody’s hallway, amongst a neutral colour palette and stylish panelling, she has chosen a Grey & Buff Rattan Wicker Log Basket as a practical storage staple to store the family’s shoe collection. Storing them in this fashion ensures that they’re easy to grab and easy to put away. You would never guess what’s in there!
“My favourite baskets from the beautiful collection of baskets at The Basket Company, has to be the large wicker trunk and round storage baskets. They don’t only look fab, but they are so practical and durable they are so well made and I can’t quite imagine our home without them! They help me stay organised and tidy, which I absolutely love!”

2. Ultimate toy storage solutions to help keep a tidy lounge
Next, we move into her lounge, where you will see a perfectly immaculate space, decorated in on-trend muted tones to match the theme of her home. But what you don’t see is the secret toy clutter cleverly hidden inside wicker storage baskets that, to the average guest, simply look like beautiful storage pieces.
“My favourite room in our house has to be our open kitchen family room. It’s where we all hang out and spend quality time together as a family of 6! When we get into a bit of a mess with all the toys all over the floor I find my wicker basket trunks and storage baskets an absolute game changer for helping me store and clear all the toys away really quickly!“
Within the small Grey & Buff Rattan Square Wicker Log Baskets underneath the console table, you will find small toys such as Lego, which are so easy to simply throw into the storage baskets and for big toys, Melody has chosen a Grey & Buff Rattan Wicker Storage trunk. The perfect solution for keeping the floor clear and doesn’t eat into relaxing time at the end of the day. Not to mention this is also such a great idea to help get the children involved as well.
As for extra lounge clutter such as remote controls and odds and ends lying around, these are also stored away neatly into baskets underneath the coffee table.
Time to relax with a magazine which, again in true melody style, is neatly stacked away in a convenient and elegant Grey & Buff Rattan Wicker Footstool Storage Basket for that ever-important “me-time” that should never be neglected as a busy mum.

3. Kids bedroom storage
In the children’s bedroom, Melody has once again taken her fantastic clutter styling practises to one of the most chaotic rooms in the home, her son’s bedroom. This time, Melody has used the small version of the Grey & Buff Rattan Wicker Storage Trunk to store the heaps of clothes she has for her baby.
“The Basket Company has to be one of my favourite shops and I am forever getting compliments on all of my beautiful baskets around my home“
